Pair charged with assault of each other

A man and a woman appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Tuesday charged with assaulting each other earlier that morning.
At about 3:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the 300 block of Hamilton Street for a report of a confrontation involving a knife. Once there, officers spoke to a woman who said she was assaulted but that the man involved had left.
Police said officers later found the man at a hospital, having been treated for a stab wound, allegedly inflicted by the woman.
Wayne Albert Finlay, 32, is charged with common assault against Barbie Jo Anaskan, 34. Anaskan is, in turn, charged with aggravated assault against Finlay.
Both appeared in court where their matters were adjourned to dates in May.
